COMPETITION

The “Innovative Ideas” competition was held in the Atyrau Region to support talented youth and develop their scientific research and inventive potential. Specialists from West Dala — environmental engineer Aigul Sagiyeva and chief technologist Minara Massalimova — were invited to serve as members of the jury.

A total of 45 projects reached the final stage. Based on the results, the jury determined the winners in the following categories:

  • Ecology. Health — Ramina Doszhan, an 11th-grade student of NIS, presented an environmental mobile platform called “JasylZhol.” The project aims to address illegal waste disposal using artificial intelligence: the system identifies types of waste, provides sorting recommendations, and marks pollution sites on a map.
  • Social Projects. Inventions — Imash Amangeldin, a 10th-grade student of the “BILIM-Innovation” lyceum, presented the “SmartSight Cap” device for visually impaired and blind people. The Arduino-based development uses ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles and warns the user with an audio signal.
  • Innovative Startup — Aisha Merekekyzy and Bibinur Gabdyzhan, students of the “BILIM-Innovation” boarding lyceum, presented the “Angel Band” project. The development is aimed at preventing sudden infant death syndrome: the smart bracelet monitors the child’s vital signs and automatically notifies doctors in case of danger.

The total prize fund of the competition amounted to 4 million tenge, allowing young inventors to further develop their projects.

We express our sincere gratitude to all participants for their courage, initiative, and drive for innovation. Your ideas are already shaping a future where technology serves people and society. We wish you continued progress, curiosity, and inspiration, and every success in bringing your projects to life.
