FLOODS

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called the floods in Kazakhstan as a worst natural disaster in the last 80 years. At the beginning of April, a state of emergency was in effect in 10 of the 17 regions of Kazakhstan, including in the Atyrau region: due to rising water levels in the Zhem River from the Uilsky district of the Aktobe region, the city of Kulsary was flooded. Currently, flood control measures are being carried out in the region.

West Dala employees strengthened the banks of the Black River on the northern side of the Waste Management Facility (WMF). The company has laid more than 2,000 pieces of sack containers. Also, West Dala employees, together with partners, participated in the work to clear and deepen the bed of the Sokolok canal. Flood control measures with the participation of West Dala continue.
