КӨРІСУ КҮНІ

Today, on March 14, Koris kuni is celebrated in Kazakhstan, this day is also called Amal Meiramy. A mandatory tradition of celebration is the korisu – handshake, when the younger greet the older generation with a request for blessings and longevity.

The holiday has a deep meaning: in ancient times, on this day, after the cold winter nomads, Kazakhs visited relatives in neighboring villages to make sure that everyone survived the winter safely, find out how things were and exchange steppe news. On this day, former grievances are forgiven and enmity is forgotten.

We congratulate everyone on the arrival of spring! We wish you well and happiness in the new year! Let an abundant dastarkhan be laid in every house, for which all relatives and friends gather!
