Round table

The following topics were discussed at the round table discussion “Problems of industry development on management of industrial and municipal wastes”:

  • Problematic issues of the treatment of industrial waste, KAPOOR
  • Interaction questions of enterprises on recycling of waste with mineral developers, «West Dala» LLP.
  • Prospects of development of companies for the collection and removal of solid waste, KazWaste Management, “Tartyp” LLP
  • Problems of implementation of regulation standards for waste management, CSD Center

As a result of round table, resolution was adapted that the «KazWaste» Association cooperates with:

  • Kapoor on the interaction of demand (companies) and supply (processors) issues.
  • West Dala on the interaction with mining companies.
  • CSD Center on the implementation of standards.

WD presentation touched upon the issues of interaction with mineral developers of oil and gas industry, taking into account their experience. The presentation marked the positive and negative aspects of the interaction, and the interaction statistics for the last three years, where % of cooperation with the mineral developers decreases from year to year.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.

The warmth of this month helped strengthen social ties and energize them for new beginnings after the winter.

West Dala took part in a community clean-up event in the Tupkaragan District of the Mangystau Region, organized as part of the instruction of the President of Kazakhstan and the nationwide environmental campaign Taza Kazkahstan.

In honor of Nauryz, West Dala prepared and delivered food baskets to the Atyrau Society of Persons with Disabilities. This year, a small assistance was provided to 8 elderly people with disabilities.
