The annual meeting

On December 8, the annual general meeting of members of the Kazakhstan Association “KazWaste” for Waste Management was held in the city of Astana.

During 4 years, the Association has made a significant contribution to the protection of the environment of the Republic of Kazakhstan, being a member of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), constantly participating in working groups of four ministries and in the Green Economy Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holding seminars and the Eurasian business forum “Green Energy & Waste Recycling Forum” (GEWR), developing industry standards, and also doing a lot of work to protect the interests of its members in the government. The Association and its members are keeping the right path to the proper development of the “green economy”.

This year, at the annual meeting, the results were summed up and new tasks for the next year were put forward, which affected the problems and prospects for the development of the whole waste management branch in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In addition to the members of the Association, also this year representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Scientific and Production Enterprise “Atameken” and LLP “Operator of the ROP” took an active part.

West Dala once again confirmed its status as an active member of the Association, having received a certificate for the following year.
