A delegationfrom the expert commission of the NU “Independent Kazakh Accreditation Center” visited the Waste Management Facility of West Dala. The purpose ofthis visit was to evaluate the practical training base for students of the “Waste Management” educational program, implemented by Kh. Dosmukhamedov AtyrauUniversity. As previously reported, this program was developed by the University’s Department of Ecologywith the active involvement of specialists from West Dala.

During the visit, the independent experts examined the conditions provided for studentsundergoing industrial internships. Particular attention was given to safety measures, technical equipment, and the opportunities for students to gainpractical skills that meet the requirements of professional training. Additionally, the day before, as part of the commission’s visit, West Dala ecologist AinagulSagiyeva, together with representatives from NCOC N.V. and Teren Oi LLP, held a meeting with the experts, where they highlighted the companies’ involvement inthe educational process.

Such collaboration with educational institutions is a significant step toward developing qualified professionals in the field ofenvironmental management and sustainable waste management.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.

The warmth of this month helped strengthen social ties and energize them for new beginnings after the winter.

West Dala took part in a community clean-up event in the Tupkaragan District of the Mangystau Region, organized as part of the instruction of the President of Kazakhstan and the nationwide environmental campaign Taza Kazkahstan.

In honor of Nauryz, West Dala prepared and delivered food baskets to the Atyrau Society of Persons with Disabilities. This year, a small assistance was provided to 8 elderly people with disabilities.
