WORLD CLEANUP DAY

Our planet became cleaner thanks to the World Cleanup Day 2022. West Dala's contribution to the campaign was extensive in terms of geography and the number of employees: a total of over a hundred people came out to clean up in the Atyrau region, Tengiz, Prorva, Almaty, and Aktau! Let's tell you how it was.

Atyrau Region
West Dala residents along with other Atyrau companies participated in a Saturday cleanup on the territory of Koktem village in the suburbs of Atyrau. The action, called «Taza Auyl», was organized as a competition to see who could collect more garbage. Based on the results of the event, activists, including our colleagues Kuangali Yelubayev and Yerbolat Yergali, were awarded. West Dala was also recognized for its employees' active participation and thanked for providing transport support for the cleanup. The event ended with a buffet and Kazakh national games.

Prorva
More than 30 people from Prorva WMF and other companies came to clean up the site. They cleaned the territory and the adjoining territory of the SPZ: mowed overgrown grass, sorted 10 bags of garbage. The participants also watered the trees and painted the desbarrier.

Tengiz
The Tengiz cleanup was actively participated in by both West Dala employees and other TCO contractors. Before the cleanup, a safety and precautionary briefing was held. TCO, as the initiator and organizer of the environmental event, conducted the event at a high level.

Almaty
The action was held in the framework of the Day of the City, so the organizers combined the subbotnik with a concert of young Kazakhstani stars. Volunteers, students and representatives of companies, including West Dala, participated in the cleanup. Garbage was collected and sorted along the river Big Almaty: plastic 37.8 kg, wastepaper 8.6 kg, glass 44.4 kg, aluminum 9.4 kg.

Aktau
Cleanliness in the city was cleaned up by employees of the Department of Ecology and the Department of Natural Resources and Regulation of Natural Resources, as well as the association of entrepreneurs LLP «West Dala» and other companies. A total of 1,580 people were involved, 39 vehicles were mobilized and 50 tons of waste was taken out.

We would like to note that this year, government agencies, companies and NGOs actively responded to the call of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan to participate in the action in order to position Kazakhstan as a participant in the global environmental actions, implementing the principles of «green» economy.
