OPENING OF A NEW STREET

Yesterday, a ceremonial opening of a street and a memorial plaque in honor of the prominent statesman and public figure Nurlan Balgimbayev took place in the capital of Kazakhstan.

The street in the Esil district was named after him. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Astana akimat, the Ministry of Energy, veterans of the oil and gas industry, intellectuals of the country, the family and relatives of the prominent figure.

The first to speak at the opening was the Deputy Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Alibek Jamaouov, who highlighted Nurlan Balgimbayev’s significant contribution to the development of independent Kazakhstan. Mr. Balgimbayev made a great impact on the oil industry, including training local personnel, exploring oil and gas fields with modern technologies, and establishing and opening many enterprises, including oil waste management.

All attendees noted that Nurlan Balgimbayev dedicated his entire conscious life to the well-being of the country and the development of Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector.

Тhe eighth traditional Atyrau Marathon took place in Atyrau, dedicated to City Day. The event brought together more than 2,000 participants who chose distances ranging from 5 km to the full marathon — 42.2 km.
